Covid-19 Notice

While many things have changed recently, one thing has remained the same: our commitment to your safety. Our transition to continuing care for you will see the implementation of a number of new procedures to ensure your safety, which we have outlined below.

Before you come to your appointment:

  • Are you feeling unwell, or do you have a fever or cough? If so, do not attend - call us immediately.
  • Have you been in close contact with a confirmed or possible Covid-19 case in the last 14 days? If so, do not attend- call us immediately.
  • Please do not bring anyone with you to your appointment - we are trying to minimise the use of the waiting room as far as possible. The only exception is if you need assistance. A child should be accompanied by one parent only.
  • If a second person (parent/carer/child) is attending do they have a cough or fever? If so, please do not attend and call us from home for advice.
  • Please attend wearing a face mask
  • While toilet facilities are available, we ask that you use the toilet at home before attending your appointment.
  • Likewise, please brush your teeth at home rather than at the practice.

When you arrive, you may notice some changes:

  • Please attend wearing a face mask
  • When you come in, we will ask you to use hand sanitiser or wash your hands.
  • We will take your temperature with a non-contact infrared thermometer– if it is 38º or higher – we may need to reschedule your appointment.
  • You will be asked Covid-19 screening questions again.
  • In accordance with Govt guidelines all our staff also have their temperature taken every morning on arrival.
  • The seating in our waiting room has been rearranged to ensure appropriate social distancing can be maintained.  All magazines, books and toys have been removed.  We aim to keep your waiting time as short as possible.
  • You may be asked to ring reception from your car when you arrive. You will be told if you can come up straight away or we will ring you back when the dental team is ready for you. This is to minimise the use of the waiting room as much as possible.
  • Please only bring essential items to the practice - if feasible, leave bags and coats in the car.
  • Our receptionists are working behind Perspex screens and we request payment by card/contactless payment if possible.
  • We are a friendly bunch and we love to chat to patients but please try not to delay in the surgery or at reception chatting with our lovely staff, in order for us to maintain social distancing.
  • Dentists have always worn surgical masks, eye protection and gloves, and for some things that’s still sufficient. However, many procedures will require additional protective equipment (PPE).
